JATCO Thailand hosts Yokohama Marinos at family day event

JATCO (Thailand), Co., Ltd., the Thai affiliate of the world-leading manufacturer of CVT (continuous variable transmission), JATCO Ltd, has organized a family day event with the help of one of Japan’s most famous soccer teams, the Yokohama F.Marinos. The event will take place on November 8-9, and will involve 400 participants. It represents JATCO Thailand’s sincere desire to give back to their employees and their families, as well as Thai society as a whole.

The Marinos will offer their technical skills and experience to teach the participants training methods to improve their football skills. The soccer pitch that will be the venue for the event normally plays an integral role in forging relations between JATCO Thailand employees and employees from other local companies who all use the facility. Sponsorship for the event – the second year in a row that such a family day event has taken place at JATCO Thailand – will be provided by, for example, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as well as Adidas.

The concept for Day 1 is “cross culture.” Thai and Japanese food and cooking classes will be provided, and fun games will be held that can be enjoyed by anybody, regardless of age. The Marinos will teach employees from JATCO Thailand and surrounding companies soccer techniques and tactics.

On the second day 100 junior high school students from nearby schools have been invited to the event. They are certain to have ended the day feeling challenged, exhilarated and thoroughly exhausted from a fun-filled day of running about and being taught soccer skills by some of Japan’s finest.

“This year is going to be very special, not only because we have a wider variety of participants than last year, but also due to the strong support from the Yokohama Marinos,” says JATCO Thailand President Tomoaki Hirayama. “All involved – our employees and people from nearby areas – are sure to have a wonderful day.”
